1862 - 2018 bridges over Deer Creek and ads for historic businesses along Pine Street in 1856.
Historical photos courtesy Searls Library and Powell House.
Ads are from a citizens registry compiled by A.A. Sargent. Businesses listed: attorneys, druggist, apothecary, bakery, saloon, sign painter, real estate agent, and notary.
Andrew S. Hallidie built the first suspension bridge over Deer Creek. He also designed San Francisco's cable car system.
