Artist's Description

Chinook salmon used to be abundant on rivers and streams in the Pacific Northwest until the white man arrived with ideas for industrialization and improvements. Weakened by years of fish hatchery management, the species isn't as diverse as it once was. Now we're spending billions per year trying to save a broken natural process.
